In 'Once Upon A Time In Jamaligudda' releasing on December 30, Actor Yash Shetty plays a negative character - Nagasaki. Directed by Kushal Gowda, the film also sees Dhananjaya in the lead role.
“The moment director Kushal explained about my character Nagasaki, I felt the name was catchy, and the character had a depth complementing Dhananjaya’s role. We both are opposites. Nagasaki is weird and rugged. My role will haunt people even after leaving the cinema. The look is among the best in my career. There is also a strong reason why the two characters are named Hiroshima and Nagasaki, after the two tragic cities,” explains Yash Shetty.
As Nagasaki is one-eyed, Yash had to cover one eye with a white lens. “It was tough and irritated my eyes initially. After a few days, I got used to it. It was a herculean task to shoot at night, seeing with one eye left me blank, so I had to rely on my co-artists to walk in the right direction,” he explains.
