Brendan Gleeson, born March 29, 1955, is an acclaimed Irish actor known for his versatile performances in film and television. He gained prominence with roles in Braveheart (1995) and The General (1998), and is widely recognized for his portrayal of Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody in the Harry Potter series. Gleeson's notable films include In Bruges (2008), The Guard (2011), and Calvary (2014). He has received numerous awards and nominations, including a Golden Globe for In Bruges.
