To celebrate his 20th year in the fashion industry, Sabyasachi Mukherjee recently showcased a very personal collection on the runway. The event took place at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, one that was attended by A-listers, from Isha Ambani Piramal to actresses like Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Janhvi Kapoor and more to ‘it girls’ Shibani Dandekar and Natasha Poonawala. Sabyasachi revisited ‘Kashgaar Bazaar’ his graduation collection from NIFT circa 1999. The collection paid a tribute to the gypsies, nomads and prostitutes. For this collection, he collaborated with Christian Louboutin for the fourth time.

The red carpet for this event especially caught media attention. The front rows were packed with the likes of Isha Ambani Piramal, Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin. These celebrities were all dressed in Sabyasachi’s latest collection. Isha Ambani was styled by celebrity stylist Ami Patel and she picked a classic black belt sari. Alia Bhatt, also styled by Ami Patel picked a blue and yellow off-the-shoulder sari with a gold belt. Jahnvi Kapoor, styled by Tanya Gharvi picked a red embroidered bodycon dress.
