Rachita Ram has come a long way from being featured in TV shows and then landing up an opportunity to feature in films. She is now the most bankable stars in the sandalwood industry.

Rachita Ram was born on 3rd October 1992 as Bindhiya Ram in Bangalore, before venturing into acting, she had taken up training in Bharatanatyam and she had even performed shows on it. Her sister Nithya Ram is also an actress and she has also appeared in various shows and only one film.

Before making her entry in films, she debuted in a TV show called Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu where she was featured along with her sister and she hit it big by being a part of a famous serial called Arasi where she was playing a vamp in the show.  After her brief stint in films, she bid goodbye to small screen industry and decided to enter some auditions for getting a break in the Sandalwood film industry.

She finally hit it big in the Sandalwood industry by getting an offer to play a lead in the starry film called Bul Bul which had challenging star Darshan in the lead and the film turned out to be a super hit when the critics applauded her performance in the film. One of the critics stated that the star is born with this film.

She then started featuring in films like Dil Rangeela, Ambareesha two years later and Dil Rangeela was well appreciated by the critics and audiences but Ambareesha was met with negative reception. She then featured in a film called Ranna in 2015 where she had a small role in the film but managed to impress everyone with her acting and the following year she was appreciated for her girl-next-door approach in Rathavara opposite Sriimurali.

She then featured opposite Puneet Rajakumara in 2016 film Chakravyuha which became famous for the songs in it. On that same year, she started making cameo appearances in various films where she was only featured as a part of the song in them. A golden opportunity strengthened her filmography when she was cast in Pushpaka Vimana where she was playing the lead opposite veteran actor Ramesh Aravind. Her performance was well-appreciated and the script was officially selected for the Academy Awards category. She was part of Johnny Johnny Yes Papa which released later this year and was the sequel to 2011 hit film Johnny Mera Naam, Preethi Mera Kaam.

She is now currently gearing up for the most awaited release of the year Uppi Rupee which stars Upendra in the lead. Apart from Uppi Rupee, she will also be featuring in films like Natasaarvabhowma, Seetharama Kalyana, April, I Love You and Rustum.
