Kalank Movie: 5 Reasons that makes this movie a hit.
Published On: 16 April 2019 | Bollywood | By: Saurabh S Nair
A huge ensemble cast, aesthetic set, soulful music with heavy dialogues, this movie has everything to be a hit.
Kalank is the biggest anticipated movie of this year.
The movie was the talk of the town since it was announced.
Firstly, the posters were released, that turned up the curiosity meter of every Bollywood movie fanatic.
Now, the movie is to be released tomorrow. Here is our prediction of the movie of why it will be a blockbuster.
These are the 5 Reasons:
Ensemble Cast
This is the most obvious reason but look at the cast. Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and of course the eternal diva Madhuri Dixit.
If we discard the odd ones such as Sonakshi and Aditya who have done some miserable movies in their past and has not done a successful movie in recent times the other actors such as Varun and Alia are the biggest bankable stars in current times.
Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit coming back together after 2 decades also increase the excitement among moviegoers.
If each and every character has a detailed subplot or significant to the narration it works wonders. Movies such as Gully Boy and Gangs of Wasseypur are the biggest example.
Superhit music
Pritam Chakraborty is the most respected music director of the industry though he is notorious for his past plagiarised songs.
The songs Ghar More Pardesiya, First Class and Kalank title song as already become a rage, almost hitting 137 likes on YouTube altogether.
The romantic theme set in post-independence
This theme never gets old. One thing we have to agree that masses love Bollywood romance. Gadar, 1942 A Love story all are considered as a classic today.
Kalank has this theme in its entire running time and conflicts occurring in the film is its crux.
Large Canvas
When the trailer of the film came out a lot of speculation came for its large sets and the picturization which has the similarity with ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s past films.
Even Karan Johar admitted that it was inspired by SLB’s movies and it tries to give tribute to the aestheticism of Bhansali’s films.
This is also a big USP of the film, Dharma Production has never touched such grandeur in their previous films.
Bringing back the lost charm of Bollywood
In the amidst of content-driven films, South Indian remakes, remix songs and biopics Bollywood has forgotten the style of cinema it was popular for.
Kalank has the potential to bring back that old charm which Bollywood was popular for.
The views we expressed in this article is just our opinion, opinions differ from person to person. Predictions can go wrong as well, at last, flops and hits are decided by the audience and they are the ultimate critics.
We all are eager for 17th April when this film will hit the silver screen. All the best wishes to the makers.
