The actor had a very good career in Bollywood over the span of 11 years despite many ups and downs in between. But he never used the success of his star parents to make his life comfortable. The actor has proven his acting craft in almost every film he took ranging from Rockstar to Sanju. He made his debut with the film Saawariya which failed miserably in the box office but that did not stop him in achieving greater success when his other films started having great collections at the box office.

The actor had been working really hard in impressing the audience in diversified roles ranging from a rich spoilt brat to a troubled musician to a deaf-mute young man to an ambitious traveller to a bipolar victim and then finally a flamboyant yet controversial Bollywood star. The actor has shown his dedication in breathing the character to himself and the way he portrays it shows that this man will give make most of the producers of the industry a run for their money.

He was very close to his elder sister Riddhima who happens to be a fashion designer and he had even danced at her wedding. Ranbir once stated in an interview that he cried a lot when she left and his mother Neetu Singh always tries to keep him on the leash when he crosses the boundary this was observed when he was heavily insulted by Sonam and Deepika on Koffee With Karan.

Despite the repeated insults from his ex-flame Deepika, he still remains quiet and doesn't retaliate. This is one good quality of him when it comes to the kind of reputation he has as he is from the first family of Bollywood who have been ruling the industry for decades. Despite the much-publicized breakup of theirs, Ranbir still remains good friends with Deepika as they had featured together in different films together after their breakup.

He has maintained a good physique despite coming from a family who are hardcore foodies especially his father Rishi Kapoor.

The actor is well known for his unique style of dancing and fashion sense as well which started out with his famous towel dance in Saawariya, the Badtameez Dil step in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and who can forget Galti Se Mistake which most of us dance even now on it. When it comes to fashion, his T-shirts in Wake Up Sid were quite a fashion statement and even his bearded look in YJHD and Tamasha.
