Harpers Bazaar magazine picks Jameela Jamil as their May 2019 issue covergirl

The May 2019 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR magazine addresses the body issue. It features actor and activist Jameela Jamil on its cover. Shot at ‘The Standard: Downtown LA’ the issue is all about body positivity as cover girl Jamil insisted upon no digital retouching or airbrushing in the editorial pictures. The cover also happens to be shot on OnePlus 7. Initially, the phone was being used to capture the behind-the-scenes moment, which was until the photographers realised that the camera quality of the phone was superior.

Jameela is a British actress, model, presenter and activist. You might recognise her from the popular tv-show ‘The Good Place’. She is also an advocate for body-positivity and has really strong opinions that she addresses in the magazine. The fashion editor of the magazine is Kristen Ingersoll who picked a pantsuit by Bibhu Mohapatra, earrings and shoes by Dolce & Gabbana, a ring from Bochic. The watch seen in the cover is Tag Heuer Formula 1 Lady. The cover is all about power dressing for women as is very popular from the beginning of the year.

The May issue of the magazine also talks about fashion and beauty hacks. It mentions the white trend that is very popular this summer and has an article on 76 standout pieces.
