Bollywood’s love birds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, popularly known as DeepVeer tied the knot on November 14th and here is a complete detail on how Deepveer looked on their wedding and reception events.
The couple who were dating for past six years announced their wedding this year and the whole nation was waiting to witness their royal wedding. The wedding was a perfect example of how two Indian cultures merged like a charm and both Deepika and Ranveer made sure that their traditions were followed throughout the wedding. Ranging from Nandi Pooja, Chooda Ceremony, Wedding styles – both dressed according to the event and below is the complete detail on how each one of them looked.
Deepika Padukone - Ranveer Singh Nandi Pooja at Padukone's residence:
It all started with a pre-wedding Nandi pooja that took place in Deepika’s residence. According to Kannada wedding rituals, Nandi Puja is usually performed 10 days before the wedding where the first invitation is offered to god so that the wedding takes place without any hitches.
For the puja, Deepika Padukone was wearing a saffron Bandhgala silk salwar suit and she looked stunning. Here are some pictures shared by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika’s stylist and Gabriel Georgiou, Deepika Padukone’s hair stylist and makeup artist.
The couple then flew to Italy on early Saturday morning i.e. November 10th for their big fat wedding.
Chooda Ceremony at Lake Como, Italy:
For the Chooda Ceremony which apparently took place in Italy's Lake Como, Deepika Padukone chose to wear a straight fit kurta with pants. Ranveer Singh wore an emerald green kurta pyjama with sneakers. Chooda ceremony is a ceremony in which the bride is made to wear red and white combination chooda which she should generally wear it for a year.
Mehendi, Sangeet and Wedding at Lake Como, Italy: November 14th and 15th, 2018
For the Mehendi ceremony, the Bhavnanis and the Padukones were all seen in Sabyasachi.
Deepika Padukone was spotted wearing a pink salwar suit with embroidery all over it. She teamed it with a matching dupatta and a red shawl. A necklace accompanied with a traditional ‘Satlada’ made up of uncut diamonds, pearls and Zambian emeralds were accessorised with her outfit.
Ranveer Singh opted for printed full umbrella cut Anarkali and a red jacket.
The wedding took place on November 14th as per Konkani tradition.
Deepika Padukone wore a Kanjeevaram red gold wedding sari with Gandaberunda (two-headed bird) motif. It was gifted by her mother and bought from Angadi Galleria, Bengaluru. Deepika Padukone herself chose the saree from the store. Famous Bollywood designer Sabyasachi then trimmed and styled it. She complemented her bridal look with Matha patti, a choker and uncut diamond haar. For the Konkani wedding, only veil and jewellery were designed by Sabyasachi.
Ranveer wore a white and gold Sherwani kurta and his entire look was designed by Sabyasachi.
On the second day for the Sindhi style wedding, the couple twinned with red. Deepika chose to wear a heavily embroidered red lehenga and Ranveer wore a red sherwani, both designed by Sabyasachi. The two looked royal at the event.
The newly weds then posed for the pics at Ranveers house in Mumbai on November 18th, 2018. Deepika Padukone was spotted wearing a Churidha Kameez along with a bright red and gold Banarasi dupatta. Ranveer wore a kurta accompanied with a pink and gold waistcoat.
Reception at Hotel Leela Palace, Bangalore: November 21st, 2018
For the reception which was hosted by the Padukone family at Bengaluru, Deepika Padukone wore a traditional Advaya pure zari gold Kanjivaram silk saree from The House of Angadi, designed by K Radharaman. She accessorized her saree with a cluster of rare Zambian emeralds and brilliant cut diamond choker designed by Sabyasachi.
Ranveer Singh wore a Black Sherwani designed by Rohit Bal for the reception.
Ranveer Singh's sister Ritika Bhavnani hosted a post wedding party in The Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. Ranveer Singh picked a multi-layered and decidedly wacky outfit for the party while Deepika Padukone is seen dressed in a floral Lehenga designed by Sabyasachi.

For the Mumbai reception on November 28th, Deepika Padukone wore an ivory and gold chikankari Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla saree, while Ranveer wore a Rohit Bal designed Sherwani.
