Sonam started out as an assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his film Black, she later made her debut in Bhansali’s directorial Saawariya alongside Ranbir Kapoor in the year 2007. The movie bombed but it fetched her the superstar of tomorrow award at the stardust awards.
