1. Rocky in Rocky: The time when Sanjay Dutt made his full-fledged debut in the silver screen is with this film and with one look, he casted his magic on the youngsters of that generation. The movie made him an overnight star.

Aman aka Sagar in Saajan: A softer side of the bad boy was shown in this movie and we literally felt pain for Baba when he confesses to his brother Akash (played by Salman Khan) that he loves the same woman whom Akash loves. 4. Ballu in Khalnayak: Nayak Nahi Khalnayak Hoon Main, the song which most of us have sung and danced all our life was from the film Khalnayak. Sanju played the role of a most wanted dreaded criminal who’s at large after escaping from prison and falls in love with a woman who is actually an undercover cop to catch him. The movie solely belonged to him.

5. Raghunath Namdev Shivalkar in Vaastav: Pachas Tola, Pachas Tola which we have been hearing since Vaastav released in theatres. The film revolved around a simple chap who makes his living by running a food cart in Mumbai and gets into trouble when he accidentally kills a customer because of his frequent bullying and ends up becoming the part of Mumbai Underworld as a cold-blooded contract killer. The role fetched him his first best actor award post his jail sentence.

Inayat Khan in Mission Kashmir: The movie which was directed by his best friend Vidhu Vinod Chopra had Sanjay Dutt playing the role of a police officer stationed in Kashmir who has a personal battle along with professional where he is looking for his foster son who is working with the extremists and the same extremists who are planning to wreck havoc in Kashmir during insurgency.

7. Ajju Rehan in Kaante: A foul mouthed womanizing gangster who is arrested in Los Angeles, USA under the connection of robbing a truck full of cash was this movie. I was laughing my heads off during the interrogation scene when he lies to the cop that he was sleeping with his wife the whole time and the cop doesn’t understand what he’s saying despite the translator misinterpreting his words. The role won him the critics award in 2003.

8. Murli Prasad Sharma aka Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai: The role which established Sanju baba popular in the comedy genre as well was this movie. Both the films were well appreciated and also got new dialogues in Bollywood like Jadoo Ki Jhappi and Gandhigiri. Munnabhai MBBS went on winning National Awards and Lage Raho Munnabhai was screened at the United Nations New York owing to the success.

9. Kancha Cheena in Agneepath: The role in Karan Johar’s remake of his father’s film of the same name gave him a new version of Kancha Cheena who was menacing, ugly, brutal and unscrupulous who was mocked for his hairless appearance. Each minute got every Sanju Baba fan trembling with fear because of his appearance and the role went on earning awards for his superb portrayal of Kancha Cheena.
