She’s now the member of parliament and she’s also the long standing judge for the Indian version of Got Talent. She’s none other than the gorgeous Kirron Kher.
She’s been famous for playing mostly mother like roles in every movie and she has succeeded in playing other roles as well.
Check out her roles right below for which she won a lot of accolades:
Devdas not only grabbed eyeballs for the romance between Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reprising their roles as Devdas and Paro was also famous for Kirron’s acting as Paro’s mother who gives a savage reply to the snobbish family of Devdas when they refuse the marriage proposal of Paro. The role fetched her a lot of awards at the award functions.
Veer Zaara, a love story between an Indian Air Force pilot and a girl whose family has a political lineage in Pakistan was somewhat a very easy task for the actress to play the role of the Pakistani girl’s mother who motivates her to follow her heart and marry Veer despite he being an Indian. You might love her bubbliness in this movie.
3. Rang De Basanti
The role of DJ’s mother in Rang De Basanti who is a bit dominating but kind at heart to DJ and his friends. She even shows her soft side when Sue comes to find DJ and his friends when she hears the news of the minister’s murder. The hearty conversation between Sue and Mitro is just must-watch.
The most underrated movie Kurbaan explored the theme of global terrorism during the environment of 9/11 in the United States. Kirron played the role of a terrorist’s wife who vows to avenge against the Americans for the pain inflicted in her hometown and her reason to become a fidayeen (Suicide Bomber), the most intense scene was the shootout at the New York subway station. The role was considered to be one of her noteworthy roles and awarded as well.
5. Khamosh Pani- Silent Waters
Khamosh Pani, an internationally acclaimed film set in Pakistan during the partition period. Kirron Kher played the role of a woman who not only gets kidnapped but also marries her abductor and earns a living by teaching Quran to local children.
This role of hers in Dostana made us go completely ROFL in theatres, her comic timing was priceless when she finds out that her son is a homosexual and her melodramatic presence during the entire film.
7. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna
The movie set in New York City dealing with adultery and extramarital affairs had a softer side with Kirron playing the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s mother. In Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, she starts having a bond with a fun-loving sleazy man (Amitabh Bachchan) in a mutual gathering. Their bonding gave most of us some serious goals.
8. Om Shanti Om
A reincarnation drama which is loved by most of us, we all loved Kirron Kher’s role of playing a mother to a junior artiste who has a dream of becoming a superstar in Bollywood and who can forget that “Nahiiiii!” moment in the beginning of Om Shanti Om which is still making us laugh even now.
9. Sardari Begum
The most acclaimed role of hers in Sardari Begum which happens to be the role of a singer cum a courtesan and her lifestyle was depicted in the movie. The role fetched her a lot of awards and her performance was appreciated as well.

The 2004 hit Hum Tum solely belonged to Rani Mukherjee but Kirron took the cake by portraying the role of Rani’s single mother who stands by her side when she loses her husband one year after her marriage.
