Zero Movie review: The King of Romance is back with a Bang, Romancing 2 with half a body. Anand L Rai acts as a successful catalyst to bond the broken chemistry of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma which failed miserably in JHMS.

Zero is about Bauua Singh played by Shah Rukh Khan as a vertically challenged man who is full of life which overshadows his lack of height. Bauua Singh is annoying, witty in his answers and will win over your heart immediately. Everyone in the town loves him and so will you.

Anushka Sharma plays the role of Aafia, a scientist who suffers from cerebral palsy and she reminds you of Stephen Hawking except for the voice controller. Anushka gives her best performance of her life as a wheelchair-ridden lovable girl with whom Bauua Singh falls in love. As shown in the trailer he meets her through a matrimonial portal.

Shahrukh reminds us why he is the king of romance and the track Mera Naam Tu just proves that. The track is very colorful and just imprints in your mind with love.

Bauua Singh who is a die-hard fan of Babita Kumar played by Katrina moves from Meerut to Mumbai for her. Katrina plays a glamorous emotionally unstable crazy actress who pulls off her role easily. And this time her Hindi is Indian rather than British Hindi if you know what I mean. This calls for positive criticism.

The ambition of Bauua takes him from Meerut to Mumbai from there it takes him to Stars. Ok, I won't reveal why or how. Watch it and find out.

For the first time in the career of Shahrukh, he has essayed the role of a dwarf and carries the role immensely well. A particular mention to the VFX team, which has done a great job in making him look like a dwarf.

The first half proves to be a fun-filled joy ride. The second half drags a bit and feels bizarre. Anand L Rai has proved his worth in carrying this movie on his directional shoulders. He is able to pull off this flick with his charm and makes it entertaining.

Music is good and songs will keep you humming even after you come out of the theatre at 1:30 in the night.

Overall Verdict: Watch it once for Love Guru, Romance King Khan.
