The movie follows the story of a famous movie actor named Vijay Kumar played by Akshay Kumar who needs to renew his driving license but fails the driving test. This leads to a confrontation between Vijay Kumar and the RTO Inspector Om Prakash Aggarwal, Played by Emraan Hashmi who is a big fan of the actor.
The movie is a thought-provoking tale that explores the themes of celebrity ego, the importance of rules and regulations, and the conflict between personal desires and societal expectations. Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi give remarkable performances in their respective roles and manage to keep the audience engaged throughout the movie.
The movie also touches upon the relationship between a father and son, with Om Prakash Aggarwal's father being a major influence in his son's life. The emotional scenes between them are heart warming and add depth to the story.
The music by Anu Malik, Tanishk Bagchi, Yo Yo Honey Singh and more complements the film's narrative, and the cinematography by Rajeev Ravi is colorful but falls bland at times.
Overall, "Selfie" is a well-crafted movie that delivers an important message about the value of following rules and regulations, while also providing engaging performances and a well-written storyline. It's a must-watch for anyone who enjoys thought-provoking and emotionally rich cinema.
