'Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B' Plot:
After spending 10 years in prison and returning to a world dealing with COVID, Manu (played by Rakshit Shetty) wants to reconnect with Priya (portrayed by Rukmini Vasanth). His favorite keepsake is a worn-out cassette tape from his past. With help from his ex-inmate friend, Prakasha (Gopal Krishna Deshpande), Manu starts afresh. He meets Surabhi (Chaitra J Achar), a sex worker, hoping she might be like Priya. However, Surabhi turns out to be quite different, forming a unique connection with Manu. Driven by concern for Priya, Manu secretly observes her life, discovering she's living a sad existence. Now, he's determined to help her find love, joy, and her voice. The question is, can Manu achieve this without crossing boundaries?'
'Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Side B' continues the story from Side A with great performances from Rakshit Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, and Chaitra J Achar. In this part, Manu's character goes through changes, and Rakshit skillfully shows his vulnerability and inner struggles. He adeptly portrays both facets, evoking poignant emotions, especially through his expressive eyes. Rukmini Vasanth shines as a transformed character, Chaitra J Achar impressively embodies her role, showcasing newfound confidence and skill, particularly in challenging scenes. Gopal Krishna Deshpande adds humor as a supportive friend, and Ramesh Indira gives a strong performance in his love-hate relationship with Manu.
Director Hemanth M Rao does well in bringing out the best in the actors and crafting a satisfying sequel with attention to detail.
The movie starts a bit slow, introducing us to Manu's transformed world, but it picks up, leading to a fulfilling ending. Different from the first part, Side B keeps us engaged without rushing. The visuals by Advaitha Gurumurthy and music by Charan Raj enhance the storytelling, leaving a lasting impact.
Advaitha's camera captures both familiar and unseen parts of Bengaluru, adding depth to the story. The film remains captivating, though it feels a bit stretched towards the end.
For those who watched Side A, Side B nicely completes the story of Manu and Priya. But even if you haven't watched Side A, Side B is a touching love story on its own. Take a trip to the theater to experience this heartfelt journey of love and sacrifice.
