Review: Muthuvel Pandian (Rajinikanth), is a retired ex-cop who served as a jailer in a prison and is a family man. When his son (Vasanth Ravi), who is a police officer, goes missing, Muthuvel embarks on a journey to uncover the secret behind his son's last case, revealing the existence of an underground mafia led by Vinayakan.
The film has a mix of dark humor, violence, and stylish shots, with Rajinikanth portraying a stylish and ferocious character. The presence of Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff, as well as the action sequences involving them, adds to the film's appeal. The ensemble cast, including Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, and other actors, have contributed well in their respective roles.
The film's first half seems to be engaging and filled with enjoyable moments, while the second half tests the audience's patience in some scenes before leading to a riveting action climax involving the three superstars. Technically, the film is praised for its sleek look, cinematography, and music, particularly the Hukum song and background score by Anirudh Ravichander.
Overall, "Jailer" has generated significant anticipation, and Rajinikanth has high hopes for the film. The movie seems to offer a combination of entertainment elements, and the presence of Rajinikanth and the rest of the cast contributes to its appeal.
