Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali Storyline:
Siddharth Ashok, known as Sid (Vihan), abandons Radha (Mayuri Nataraja) at their wedding and sets off in search of Anahita (Ankita Amar). The film, unfolding in ten segments, alternates between past and present. Once a dedicated cricketer with ambitions in the sport, Sid’s life shifts dramatically when he encounters Anahita, a gentle Bengali-Kannada woman passionate about poetry and photography. Though their relationship remains ambiguous, their mutual attraction is undeniable. In the present day, Sid’s quest to find her reveals a painful reality. Will they be able to rekindle their romance after ten years?
Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali Movie Review: Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali opens with a traditional family wedding and quickly introduces Sid, a young businessman grappling with indecision. The film finds its heart in the performances of Vihan and Ankita. Their screen presence and chemistry bring a touching and authentic romance to life. Their conversations and the simple joy they share on screen are genuinely heartwarming, creating a captivating magic that enhances the viewing experience. Vihan's long-awaited break and Ankita's expressive eyes highlight their talents, making their performances stand out.
The film features uniformly strong performances. Ankita Amar and Vihan deliver roles that align well with the director's vision, while Mayuri shines with her portrayal of a practical yet emotional character. Girija Shettar's return in a pivotal role is a highlight. Kiranraj K and Vickypedia also make charming appearances.
Director Chandrajith Belliappa's debut film, Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali, brings a fresh perspective to the romantic genre. The film unfolds in ten chapters, each blending seamlessly into the next, offering a thoughtful exploration of love and relationships. It poses challenging questions: Can love be reignited where it has faded? Is it right to marry without love? How do we distinguish between care and genuine affection?
Srivathsan Selvarajan’s cinematography captures stunning locations, using them as metaphors for love and longing. The visuals add depth to the story, while Gagan Baderiya’s music and background score bring freshness and emotional resonance. However, the film's length—2 hours and 40 minutes—might test the patience of some viewers, and the emotional climax lacks the impact it aims for.
Despite its familiar storyline, Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali distinguishes itself through its storytelling and screenplay. It's a slow, emotional love story with strong performances that makes you think about how love can last even through tough times.
