Crew Movie Review: Laugh Out Loud with the Dynamic Trio in 'Crew'
Modified On: 29 March 2024 | Reviewed By: Team MoviekoopCrew Movie Review: ⭐⭐⭐💫 | Embark on a laughter-filled journey with Crew, where comedy, impeccable dialogue delivery, and captivating performances take center stage. Led by the magnetic trio of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, this film promises a whirlwind of entertainment.
Plot: In Crew, Tabu embodies Geeta Sethi, a former beauty pageant winner turned anxious homemaker, whose days are consumed by worries over unpaid bills and mounting debts. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan portrays Jasmine Kohli, raised by her grandfather and driven by entrepreneurial dreams amidst financial struggles. With an unwavering resolve to always have a backup plan, Jasmine is determined to carve her own path.
Kriti Sanon steps into the shoes of Divya Rana, a high-achieving student from a small Haryana town with an unused airstrip. Despite her dreams of becoming a pilot, Divya reluctantly takes on a cabin crew role due to the aviation industry's downturn, keeping her true aspirations hidden from her family to spare them disappointment.
United by their deep bond and shared aspirations, Geeta, Jasmine, and Divya seize an opportunity to change their fates. However, their plans are thwarted by the relentless scrutiny of Sub-Inspector Mala, played by Trupti Khamkar, who adds complexity to their journey.
When a tip-off prompts a thorough search of their aircraft, the trio is forced off the plane under suspicion of gold smuggling. This pivotal moment sets the stage for Crew.
Crew Movie Review:
Crew takes audiences on a rollercoaster ride of laughter, filled with comedy, excellent dialogues, and electrifying performances. Led by the dynamic trio of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, this film is a riot of fun from start to finish.
The screenplay is a standout feature, keeping viewers engaged with its rapid-fire humor and well-executed scenes. While the first half is a laugh riot, the second half, though dipping at times, still manages to hold attention with its entertaining plot twists.
Director Rajesh Krishnan deserves praise for delivering a light-hearted and breezy film that offers full-on entertainment. The chemistry and timing between the lead actors are impeccable, especially the trio of Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Sanon, who shine brightly throughout.
Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh inject an extra dose of energy, elevating the film's entertainment quotient. The soundtrack complements the narrative beautifully, enhancing the overall experience.
However, despite its strengths, Crew isn't without its flaws. Some viewers may find the writing in the second hour lacking, which detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, while the female bonding aspect is commendable, some characters, like Sharma's, feel slightly out of place.
In conclusion, Crew is a wild and hilarious ride that offers moments of pure entertainment. With its original concept, entertaining plot, and stellar performances, it has the potential to become a crowd-pleaser. Despite its shortcomings, it's a film that's worth watching, especially for those looking for a good laugh with their crew.
