'Chitrakatha' Kannada Movie Review: A Psychological thriller which needs your attention

Chitrakatha is the story of an aspiring filmmaker Rana (Sujeeth Rathod) who wants to create a name in Kannada Film Industry. Due to multiple rejections, he loses his confidence and become a chronic alcoholic. Seeing his condition a friend and bartender advice him to meet an Aghori Sadhu who can help him to fulfill his desire.
His friends take him on a trip to Kasargod, while on a trip he faces different incidents which turns him to mentally effected.

This leads him to meet a psychiatrist Samaya (Sudharani) who during the councilling session tells him a story of Uttam Varma (Dilip Raj) who apparently has been through similar situations. During the course of the story narration, Rana realizes a connection between him and Uttam.
Chitrakatha is a psychological thriller which involves the audience who guesses each and every time a scene unfolds, The director Yashasvi tried to showcase a compelling story that is relatable. However, the screenplay becomes more gripping in the second half of the film. Newbie Sujeeth Rathod is one to watch out for, He has done a fine job of a frustrated filmmaker who wants to achieve is the goal. Both Dilip and Sudharani shine in their respective roles.

The film also tries to put some supernatural elements to the film which quite work for the film.
