Kollywood: It Was Arnold Not Akshay Kumar For 2.0

Arnold Schwarzenegger was the original choice in 2.0 and not Akshay Kumar. Yes, Director S.Shankar wanted Arnold to play the role of anti-hero and Akshay Kumar was not his first choice. According to PTI news agency, S.Shankar revealed in the press conference that Arnold was initially approached for the role and even dates were assigned. But the collaboration did not work out due to some contractual issues. Since Akshay Kumar was in talks with Lyca Productions for the Hindi remake of Kaththi, S.Shankar considered casting Akshay Kumar.

Kollywood: Maari 2 censored with U/A certificate

Maari 2 slated to release this December has been certified as U/A. Actor Dhanush tweeted regarding the same.

Maari 2 is the sequel to Dhanush’s 2016 Maari. The film is directed by Balaji Menon and produced by Dhanush himself under the banner Wunderbar Films. Premam fame ‘Sai Pallavi’ plays the female lead. Mollywood hero Tovino Thomas debuting to Tamil Cinema will play the role of an antagonist in this film.

Kollywood: Viswasam Motion Poster is Trending at Number One In Youtube

Motion Poster of Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam is out. The movie directed by Siva stars Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara in the lead. The video uploaded yesterday has already garnered above 2 Million Views and is trending in Youtube at Number 1. 

Ajith Kumar will feature in a dual role in Viswasam and it is fourth collaboration with Siva after Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. The film is produced under the banner athya Jyothi Films.

Viswasam is slated to release on Pongal 2019. The film might clash with Thaliava’s Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

With just 4 days for 2.0 release, the team released a video song yesterday. “Endhira Logathu Sundariye” song features Thalaiva and Amy Jackson dancing to the tune of AR Rahman. The lyrics is penned by Madhan Karky and it is sung by Sid Sriram and Shashaa Tirupati. The video has garnered more than 5 million views in a span of one day.

Sandalwood: Ambareesh last rites to be conducted today

Kannada Actor and Former Union minister Ambareesh passed away on Saturday due to a cardic arrest. He was 66. Many actors paid tribute to the legendary actor and the public was also allowed to pay tribute on November 25th in Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore. The final rites of Ambareesh will be conducted near Dr. Rajkumar Smaraka at Kanteerava Studios, Bengaluru, with state honours. The government has declared an official mourning for three days.

The actor is survived by his wife Sumalatha and son Abhishek Gowda. 

Superstars Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, actress Lakshmi, Arjun Sarja, Telugu star Mohan Babu paid tribute to Ambareesh on November 25th. As Ambareesh was a prominent person in the industry, all Sandalwood stars such as Shivarajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar, Sudeep, Darshan, Jaggesh among others also paid tribute. 

Bollywood Actor Shatrughan Simha and Mammootty also tweeted their tribute to the actor.

In the world of cinema, all actors have their own Fan moments. One such heartwarming fan moment was felt by Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu when a 106 year old Relangi Satyavati Garu came all the way from Rajahmundry to bless him. 

The actor tweeted about this and he quoted,

Humbled to see & feel that kind of love coming from someone generations apart from mine❤ The love from my fans has always overwhelmed me but 106-year old Relangi Satyavati garu coming all the way from Rajahmundry to bless me has touched every corner of my heart. Kollywood: ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara is on board #Thalapathy63

The team announced Nayanthara as the leading lady in Thalapathy Vijay’s 63film, written and directed by Atlee. This is Vijay’s third collaboration with Atlee, his last being Mersal which was a box office hit. Atlee has managed to retain most of the crew members of Mersal. AR Rahman is composing music while GK Vishnu is handling the cinematography. 

We need to wait to see if this movie breaks the record set by Vijay-Atlee for Mersal and Theri.

Kollywood: 'Pink' to be remade in Tamil

Shoojit Sircar, Creative Producer of Bollywood superhit movie 'Pink' confirmed that the Hindi film will be remade in Tamil.

Earlier there were rumours that Ajith's next film, tentatively titled as Thala 59, will be a remake of the Bollywood flick Pink and he will be roped in to play the role of Amitabh Bachchan. It is still unclear whether he will reprise the role or another actor will be roped in for the film. 

'Pink' was a 2016 courtroom drama starring Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang and Amitabh Bachchan.
