Telugu Actor NT Ramaswamy Slapped by Fan Upset Over Villain Role During Love Reddy Screening

Ramaswamy, who plays the antagonist, attended the event with his co-stars to interact with fans. However, a woman in the audience grabbed him by the collar and slapped him, expressing her anger towards his on-screen character. A video of the incident was shared on social media, showing her questioning him for “troubling the lead couple” in the film, while fellow actors reminded her it was just a role.

Following the incident, theatre security and cast members, including Anjan Ramachandra and Shravani Krishnaveni, intervened, escorting the woman out. Directed by Smaran Reddy, Love Reddy tells a unique love story, where Ramaswamy’s character adds complications to the lead couple’s lives. Released on October 18, the film was produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Ramaswamy is also known for his role in Saara Vajra (2022) and the television series Muddulakshmi (2018-23).
