S.S. Rajamouli accepts the Best Director award at the NYFCC for 'RRR' in the USA

SS.Rajamouli has thanked the New York Film Critics Circle Jury for liking his film and considering him for the Best Director caregory honour besides helping the Telugu film Industry outshine. He also expressed how nervous he was to speak in front of such a huge English-speaking gathering.
He also spoke about how he visualizes a story on screen before he kickstarts making his films and shared a couple of anecdotes of watching English films like Terminator 2 on the Indian screens with an Interval in between.
Also, he narrated from where he draws inspiration for his larger-than-life characters and why his heros behave like a superhero all the time.
The maverick director thanked the American audience for sharing the same joy and excitement for his film as the Indians did from his native place.
Speaking further Rajamouli also went on to reveal his success secret saying that all his films are backed by his family members and filmmaking is more a family business for him and he feels deeply grateful to all of them for continuously supporting his passion.
The director also revealed that most of his technicians such as the VFX supervisor, editor and other craftsmen have been associating for years with him, and that understanding and chemistry between them is helping him pull off any movie of any scale easily every time. He concluded his acceptance speech by thanking his lead cast of 'RRR' Mr NT Rama Rao Jr and Ram Charan for living his characters in 'Rise Roar and Revolt'.
