The attack on Allu Arjun's residence has sparked a political blame game as suspects' alleged affiliations with prominent Telangana leaders fuel debate.
Hyderabad: Six individuals accused of vandalizing actor Allu Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad were granted bail on Monday. Advocate Ramdas, representing the accused, stated that the students from Osmania University were peacefully protesting when they were allegedly provoked by police action, leading to a defensive reaction.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, involved members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) demonstrating against the actor over the Sandhya Theatre tragedy. Protestors reportedly threw tomatoes, damaged flower pots, and engaged in a scuffle with security personnel. Visuals from the site revealed broken pots, shattered glass, and ramp damage.
Meanwhile, the case has escalated into a political dispute. Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Krishank alleged that Reddy Srinias, the prime suspect, has connections with Telangana Congress leader Revanth Reddy, sharing images of the accused with the Chief Minister. Congress leader Venkat Balmoor retaliated by sharing a picture linking Srinias to BRS leader KT Rama Rao, accusing him of tarnishing the state government’s reputation.
The controversy over the political ties of the accused has added a new dimension to the incident, stirring a heated debate in Telangana’s political landscape.
