Republic preview: A thrilling political and administrative drama with high expectations

Republic will hit screens this Friday. The movie is about an IIT gold medallist and IAS officer called Abhi, who stands up to the local governance as a District Collector. The film is expected to replicate the current state of affairs between legislative and bureaucracy. Ramya Krishnan plays Vishaka Vani, a ruthless politician Abhi must face-off to save the environment and people both. How Abhi helps people revolt against Vani forms the crux of this social drama. Aishwarya Rajesh plays Myra Hanson, an NRI who returns to India.
