A tragic incident during the midnight screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre on December 4 has left a 9-year-old boy, Sri Teja, declared brain dead. The stampede, triggered by the overwhelming crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of star Allu Arjun, resulted in the death of a woman named Revathy and multiple injuries.

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand and Telangana Health Secretary Dr. Christina IAS visited KIMS Hospital on Tuesday to inquire about Sri Teja’s condition. According to a statement from the Hyderabad City Police, the boy remains on ventilator support, and doctors have warned that his treatment is likely to be prolonged. A medical bulletin on his health is expected soon.

Dr. Christina conveyed her hopes for the boy’s recovery and assured the family that the government is monitoring the situation closely. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun, arrested in connection with the incident, has been released on bail. The actor expressed his concern for the victims in an Instagram post, explaining that legal restrictions prevent him from visiting the hospital.

Despite the tragedy, Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the box office, grossing over ₹1,400 crore globally and nearing ₹1,000 crore in India.
