Prabhas and Prashant Neel's Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire Faces Release Delay Due to VFX Challenges

"Prabhas and Prashant Neel's Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire," one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, has seen its American advance booking skyrocket. Originally slated for a September 28 release, the film has been pushed to a later date due to post-production delays, particularly in VFX delivery.
Reports indicate that the primary reason for the postponement was the non-delivery of over 300 VFX shots, a situation reminiscent of the delay faced by the film 'RRR.' The VFX work for 'Salaar' was distributed among ten different companies, and one of them was already overwhelmed, making it impossible for them to meet their delivery deadlines. Consequently, the director had to make the tough decision to delay the release. Even if these scenes were to arrive at the last minute, the team wouldn't have sufficient time to apply the finishing touches, as each of these 300 shots requires thorough cross-checking, potentially leading to last-minute chaos.
There are also rumors circulating that distributors and exhibitors are unhappy with the producers of 'Salaar' due to their high asking price for the film's rights. Some speculate that this could be another reason behind the film's delay, as negotiations are ongoing to reach a mutually agreeable price. However, this information has not been officially confirmed.
Now, the filmmakers are planning to release 'Salaar' during the Diwali weekend in November, which may result in a clash with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's 'Tiger 3.' Alongside Prabhas, the film also features Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tinnu Anand, and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles.
