NTR Trilogy : "NTR kathanayakudu" , "NTR Mahanayakudu" and the latest "Lakshmi's NTR" completing the Chronology
Ever since the trailer of Ram Gopal Varma's Lakshmi's NTR got aired, it has set the tongues wagging on social media. Balakrishna's NTR Kathanayakudu and upcoming Mahanayakudu covered the legendary life of NTR but there are still some unseen controversial parts of his life which will apparently be revealed in upcoming Ram Gopal Varma's film.
Interestingly all the three films cover a non-coinciding timeline, with 'Kathanayakudu' focusing on Young and upcoming Actor NTR whereas 'Mahanayakudu' and Lakshmi's NTR focuses on Rise and Fall of NTR in his Political career, respectively. Moreover, All three films are not made by the same Production house either. NTR Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu are bankrolled by Balakrishna Nandamuri (son of NTR), whereas Lakshmi's NTR is Produced by RGV.
NTR Kathanayakudu released at very high expectations in January this year but couldn't encash the Buzz. It was declared Triple disaster at Telugu Box office. Speculation behind the debacle being political influence and lack of negative shades in the storyline.
After much delay, the Trailer of Mahanayakudu was released on Saturday. As in the trailer, the movie deals with the 1984 planned Dismissal of NTR ministry by an internal coup and his resurgence. the trailer didn't garner much buzz, maybe due to the failure of Kathanayakudu.
Lakshmi's NTR, maybe also a reason behind the Lacklustre appeal of Mahanayakudu. Lakshmi's NTR is the third movie based on NTR releasing in 2019. it chronicles the controversial second marriage of NTR with Lakshmi Parvathi, which resulted in the downfall of NTR in politics, due to revolt by his own family. Though there are many stories and evidence around the Backstabbing episode, even in the words of NTR himself, No one is sure about what actually happened then. Added, the current political wave in Andhra Pradesh the Buzz around the movie has already sky rocketed.
