Nishbdham is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on October 2
The trailer of Anushka Shetty and Madhavan's Nishabdham was launched by Rana Daggubati and Vijay Sethupathi. Directed by Hemant Madhurkar, the film is tipped to be a thriller featuring Shalini Pandey, Anjali and Michael Madsen in pivotal roles. Nishbdham is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on October 2 after skipping theatrical release.
The two-minute-long trailer shows Anushka's Sakshi and Madhavan's Antony going in search of a painting at a haunted house. Later, we come to know that Anushka's best friend (played by Shalini Pandey) is arrested by the police after a crime.
Anushka's Sakshi is auditorily challenged and she is the witness in the case. Michael Madsen and Anjali are investigating the case. But, there is a missing link and the lead characters experience supernatural encounters.
Nishabdham was earlier slated to release in theatres on April 2. However, due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the film had to be postponed. Kona Venkat, one of the film's producers, took to Twitter to reveal that they are waiting for the theatres to open. Since the government didn't permit theatres to re-open, they decided to release it on Amazon Prime Video.
Earlier, Nishabdham was the Tamil and Malayalam titles for the film. Now, the titles have been renamed to Silence as the title Nishabdham has already been registered by another filmmaker in Kollywood.
Nishabdham is the second mainstream Telugu film to release on the platform after Nani and Sudheer Babu's V, directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti.
