Nandamuri Taraka Ratna passed away

Taraka Ratna had accompanied a political leader Nara Lokesh on his ‘Yuvagalam’ padayatra in Andhra Pradesh on January 27. During the procession, the 39 -year-old actor collapsed suddenly. He was rushed to a hospital in Kuppam but as his condition was critical, he was taken to Bengaluru where he was admitted in the Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital. He died in the hospital.

Taraka Ratna is the son of Mohanakrishna and grandson of former chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh N T Rama Rao.

Like some of the other grandsons of NTR, Tarakaratna too became an actor making his debut with the film ‘Okato number Kurradu’ in 2002. Some of his other notable films include ‘Taarak’, ‘Bhadradri Ramudu’, ‘Nadeeshwarudu’, ‘Eduru Leni Alexander’ and ‘Yuva Ratna’. He was also a recipient of the Nandi award for his role in the film ‘Amaravathi’. He also recently acted in a web series titled '9 hour’.

The NTR family launched Taraka Ratna into films with a lot of fanfare with as many as nine films launched on a single day.Saturday after battling for survival following a severe heart attack that he suffered.
