Nagesh Kukunoor and Keerthy Suresh teams up for a sports film.

The well-known Bollywood filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor, popular for films such as Hyderabad Blues, Dor, Rockford, and Iqbal, is making his Telugu debut with a yet-untitled sports romantic comedy starring Keerthy Suresh in the titular role.

The project, which has already gone on the floors, was officially announced over the weekend. In an interview, Kukunoor revealed that he’s terrified about finally making a film in Telugu, which is his mother tongue.

The film also stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu and Rahul Ramakrishna in pivotal roles. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose music. The makers are yet to reveal rest of the cast and crew.

Produced by Sudheer Chandra, the film will be predominantly shot in Hyderabad and Pune. It is being planned as a September release.
