'Manmadhudhu 2' is the sequel to the 2002 romcom 'Manmadhudhu', released the trailer of the movie on Thursday. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, Nagarjuna plays the role of a Casanova who is totally averse to the idea of ‘marriage’.
The teaser has Nagarjuna playing the role of Sam, a bachelor, who is pressured by his family to get married to a woman within the next three months. Unaware of Sam’s casanova persona, Lakshmi (who plays mother to Nagarjuna) is happy and at the same wonders why someone as young as Rakul Preet's character is interested in marrying her son, who is much older in age.

Sam is seen romancing a lot of women in the trailer as he makes his life’s philosophy clear through one of the dialogues. “To have a single meal, why would anyone start farming?”
Vennela Kishore, who plays friend to Nagarjuna, as usual, tickles your funny bone with his exceptional comic timing. The movie also has Rao Ramesh, Jhansi, Devadarshini and Nishanti playing important roles.

Manmadhudhu 2 is said to be the sequel to the actor’s own 2002-film Manmadhudhu, a romantic comedy in which he starred opposite Sonali Bendre. He played the role of Abhiram, a young man who begins to hate women after a misunderstanding about a past relationship. The movie, which was written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, was a major hit.
Manmadhudhu 2 will be hitting the screens on August 9.
