Mahanati depicts the life and career of one of Telugu cinema's greatest and most iconic starlets, the first Indian female super star, SAVITRI. The film released on 9th May 2018, and is already a great hit. The director of the film Nag Ashwin, has done a commendable job on the movie. The story of ‘Mahanati’ ( probably south indian film industry’s most revered female figure ) is a once in a life time epic film. The word feisty wouldn’t be enough to describe ‘Savitri’. She embraced the wonderful moments life presented to her. She lived her life on her own terms. Her life story was nothing short of a roller coaster ride. The director doesn’t shy away from showing the complexities in her life, steady beginning of her career, the unmatched rise in the same and the romance in her life. The story shows the fragility of money, fame and star power. Talented actress Keerthy Suresh reprises the role of the great actress Savitri. The film also has a huge list of stars playing crucial roles. The cast of the film includes - Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Deverakonda.
