Kavacham Movie Review
Modified On: 07 December 2018 | Reviewed By: Rohan MKavacham Movie Review: Kavacham is a Telugu Thriller movie directed by Srinivas Mamilla. The movie stars Bellamkonda Sreenivas, Kajal Aggarwal, in the lead roles and Mehreen Pirzada, Neil Nitin Mukesh in supporting roles. Kavacham is filled with a lot of emotions which are blended into one to give the viewer a joyride in different set pieces in it.
The cop movies are quite popular in the film industry, these cop films come in two categories one is actually a masala entertainer with OTT action sequences and the other is a thriller with neo-noir elements which is still non-existent in the Indian film industry. The latest film Kavacham is a cop film filled with a lot of emotions.
The film revolves around Vijay (Bellamkonda Sreenivas) a police officer based in Vizag filled with dedicated courage and optimism when it comes to duty. He falls in love with a coffee shop waitress Samyukta (Kajal Agarwal) and romance sparks between them.
But that’s not it, while on duty, Vijay saves a young woman Lavanya (Mehreen Pirzada) who gets abducted by a bunch of goons and to make matters worse Vijay is framed for Murder. The whole department goes against him for the crimes he did not commit. Who is the perpetrator and why Vijay was framed follows the main crux of the story.
Bellamkonda Sreenivas has been impressing everyone with his acting prowess and this film he gives justice to the role of a police officer. The actor does a great job in conveying the emotions on the screen perfectly. Mehreen Pirzada and Kajal Agarwal have not much screen presence in the film but they do justice in boosting the glamour quotient. Neil Nitin Mukesh has been playing the role of antagonists frequently in every film he takes and this one he is above perfection.

The cinematography of the film plays a very important role in the film and it forces the viewer to dive into the film if he/she is watching it in theatres. Kudos for such excellent shots.
The songs of the film seem to be decent fare and they are mostly situational in real-life. These songs composed by S. Thaman play a very important role in lifting up the movie watching experience to the top.
The main flaw of the film is the duration which turns out to be quite draggy with unnecessary moments. Despite these clumsy sequences, none of these affects the narration of the film.
Overall, the film solely belongs to Bellamkonda Sreenivas who plays his part to perfection with his role and the film itself is a rollercoaster ride to enjoy with a potpourri of emotions like drama, romance, action etc...
