Kalyan Ram's '118' is Releasing this week, But What is 118 ?
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, who is struggling to score a decent hit, has pinned all his hopes on his upcoming film 118 which is releasing on March 1st. Directed by KV Guhan, the film is as a mystery thriller with a gripping screenplay. Nivedha Thomas and Shalini Pandey are the female leads in this film. But what does 118 signify?
118 is reportedly going to be a racy and edge of the seat thriller which proceeds at a swift pace. The crisp run time of 128 minutes will be a huge advantage for the film to keep the audience hooked to the narration.
In the trailer itself, a reference to 118 is given with time (below screenshot from a trailer). But that's to tease or for real, is uncertain. (let's hope its to tease and there much more in the movie )
Next, When you go further into the trailer their are references of the church too often. when you search about the relation between 118 and Christianity, the topmost result would be, Psalm 118. it is the 118th psalm of the Book of Psalms (It themes are thanksgiving to God and reliance on God rather than on human strength ). so is that a hint to be cracked in that book? that's too uncertain
Kalyan Ram is playing the role of a Investigative journalist in the film who is seen running behind something or the other in search of a girl, Possibly Nivetha Thomas, whose existence is still a mystery. Most of the time, the actor is found questioning everyone whether she exists or not and as the story moves, Shalini is also seen helping him solve it.
“The last thirty minutes of the film are going to take the audience to a next level. It will a thrill ride that everyone would enjoy watching,” said Kaylan ram in a recent promotional interview.
" If you see the trailer for '118' on repeat mode, you will understand the subject. Everyone faces the situations shown in the film but not everyone gets affected by them. The hero's character becomes curious and decides to dig in. What will happen when a character dares to take on the issue? That's what the film is about. There are no supernatural elements in the story. It's a natural story. Guhan is not the kind of director who tells unnatural stories." he further added.
The pre-release event of the film was organised this Monday in Hyderabad and Nandamuri heroes Balakrishna and NTR graced the event as chief guests.
