The highly anticipated sequel "Pushpa 2: The Rule" has fans eagerly awaiting the return of the beloved Pushpa Raj character. Initially slated for release on August 15th, the date was pushed to December 6th.
However, recent reports indicate tensions between lead actor Allu Arjun and director Sukumar, leaving fans concerned about further potential delays.
According to Gulte, Allu Arjun has become increasingly frustrated with constant disruptions and unscheduled breaks during the filming of "Pushpa 2." A video on social media showing Allu Arjun with a trimmed beard—a significant departure from his character Pushpa Raj’s signature look—has fueled speculation. It is believed that the actor, seeking a break from ongoing production issues, trimmed his beard and took a family vacation, raising concerns among fans about further delays in shooting. Director Sukumar also decided to take a trip to the United States, presumably to recharge and refocus.
"Pushpa 2: The Rule" is one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2024, with fans anxiously looking forward to the continuation of the gritty and captivating story established in the first installment. Given the star power and the success of the first film, expectations are high for "Pushpa 2." The film features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist, along with Anasuya Bharadwaj, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, and Jagadish.
Despite the setbacks, fans are hopeful that the filmmakers will address these issues and provide a release date soon or ensure that the film hits the silver screens as planned at the end of the year.
