As of now, it's confirmed that the much-anticipated release of Kalki 2898 AD starring PAN India sensation Prabhas won't hit theaters on May 9 due to the ongoing general elections. All attention is now on the new release date, sparking numerous speculations.

According to a source close to the film unit, "The makers are considering May 30th to bring this blockbuster sci-fi entertainer to cinemas." Finalizing the edit won't be a prolonged process for the team, but the delay from May 9 is attributed to the current political atmosphere. An official announcement regarding the new release date is imminent, and once revealed, marketing endeavors will swiftly follow suit.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, this ambitious project also boasts a stellar cast including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles, with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan making a special appearance. Ashwini Dutt helms production under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies, while Santosh Narayanan provides the musical score.
