On Tuesday, the much-anticipated trailer for Prasanth Varma's upcoming film "HanuMan" was unveiled. With the film having commenced production in 2021, enthusiasts of the superhero genre have been eagerly anticipating its release. The film stars Teja Sajja, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, and Vinay Rai in pivotal roles.

The trailer begins with the caption, 'Inspired from the itihaas (history) of Akhanda Bharat,' offering a glimpse into the world of Anjanadri, the residence of our protagonist portrayed by Teja. An underwater sequence depicts his acquisition of superpowers as he approaches a glowing entity. The trailer illustrates his newfound abilities, showcasing his superhuman speed, strength to lift mountains, and effortless defeat of adversaries.
Vinay Rai is introduced as the antagonist, equipped with a power suit and a quest for invincibility. His arrival in Anjanadri results in destruction, prompting the protagonist to rise and defend his people. The concluding moments of the trailer feature Lord Hanuman awakening from meditation.
The trailer portrays Teja as an underdog hero who undergoes a transformative journey, now entrusted with the responsibility of saving the world. Teja's dedication to the role is evident through his physical transformation, abstaining from other projects until the film's release. Supporting roles are played by Samuthirakani as a sadhu, Varalaxmi as Teja's sister, and appearances by Getup Srinu and Vennela Kishore. Amritha's role remains undisclosed.
Directed by Prasanth Varma, known for his work in "Awe!," "Zombie Reddy," and "Kalki," "HanuMan" is scheduled for release on January 12, coinciding with Sankranthi. The filmmakers aim for a global release in Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. The film's music is composed by Hari Gowra, Anudeep Dev, and Krishna Saurabh.
