Fans Criticize "Oh My Baby" from Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram; Ramajogayya Sastry Responds

The latest single, "Oh My Baby," from Trivikram Srinivas' film Guntur Kaaram, featuring Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, faced disappointment among fans. Released on Wednesday, the song received mixed reviews, with some expressing their dissatisfaction politely, while others resorted to trolling the composer Thaman S and lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry.

In response to the criticism, Ramajogayya took to his social media on Thursday evening to express his frustration with trolls. He condemned the trend of people, unfamiliar with the creative process, passing judgment and spreading hate on social media. He emphasized the need for constructive feedback, stating, "There's a manner in which feedback must be given. What was missing in the song? We love our work more than you do, don't talk loosely."

Fans responded with diverse opinions, asserting their right to provide feedback, while some criticized Ramajogayya's lyrics. As the trolling intensified, the lyricist deactivated his social media account. Fans acknowledged the harsh behavior of trolls and pointed out that, despite how he wrote, the responsibility ultimately lies with the director and hero for approving the content.

Regarding Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu's last film was Sarkaru Vaari Paata in 2022. The filming for Guntur Kaaram began later that year, with changes in the cast and crew. Pooja Hegde exited the project, and there were discussions about replacing Thaman due to dissatisfaction with the output. The film is scheduled for release during Sankranthi 2024. The first single, "Dum Masala," released in November, received positive responses.
