'Double iSmart' receives 'A' certificate from CBFC; set to be one of the major releases this Independence Day

"Double iSmart," the highly anticipated sequel to "iSmart Shankar," has recently received an 'A' certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Directed by Puri Jagannadh and starring Ram Pothineni, who reprises his role from the first film, "Double iSmart" has attracted attention due to its intense violence and strong dialogues,

One of the key highlights of the film is the Telugu debut of Bollywood veteran Sanjay Dutt, who plays the main antagonist, Big Bull. Dutt's presence has significantly raised expectations, with fans eager to see how he enhances the narrative. Kavya Thapar stars as the female lead, adding to the film's appeal.

According to a report by Track Tollywood, "Double iSmart" has a runtime of 2 hours and 42 minutes, making it notably longer than its predecessor, "iSmart Shankar," which ran for 2 hours and 21 minutes. The film is set for a major release on Independence Day, August 15, and will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil, aiming for a broad audience across India.

Given the success of "iSmart Shankar" in 2019, "Double iSmart" is expected to perform well at the box office. However, it will face stiff competition, as other films, including "Mr. Bachchan," are also set to release on the crowded Independence Day weekend.
