Bhaagamathie movie review: Anushka Shetty shines again in yet another Horror Thriller after Arundhathi
Published On: 26 January 2018 | Tollywood | By: Team Moviekoop
Bhaagamathie is written and directed by G. Ashok and produced under UV Creations banner.
Bhaagamathie starring Anushka Shetty, Aadhi Pinisetty, Jayaram, Unni Mukundan,Asha Sarath in the lead roles is a Horror Thriller which also addresses socio-political issues. The story of Bhaagamathie has many layers and is more focused than the scary moments. The Plot: Chanchala IPS played by Anushka Shetty gets convicted for the murder of Shakthi (Unnikrishnan Mukundan). She is Minister Eeshwar Prasad's PS, played by Jayaram. The cops shift Chanchala to an old bunglow where she starts experiencing strange things and gets possessed by Bhaagmathie. Who is Bhaagmathie? What is the story behind her? How will Chanchala manage to escape from the fury of Bhaagamathie forms the crux of the story. Anushka as Bhaagamathie is more intense and powerful than Chanchala. Jayaram debuting to Tollywood delivers credible performance. G.Ashok has definitely tried to bring in a different ideology to the horror genre, but with a better screenplay the movie would have been more engaging.
