He has carved a niche in the world of film making and has managed to give noteworthy films in his decade-old career. His films have been even blockbuster in every year when it releases and an inspiration for industries in different languages as well.

Here are some of his noteworthy films right below:

1. Ramanna: The film which was one of his best films which dealt about a college professor who enlists his students in fighting corruption which has been plaguing the entire country and that gets the cops on their heels when the activities go far. The film was a breakthrough in his career and owing to the success the film was remade in Hindi as Gabbar Is Back starring Akshay Kumar.

2. Ghajini: The Tamil adaptation of Christopher Nolan’s Memento which was filled with some fun moments in it compared to the original. The film revolved around a rich tycoon who suffers from a memory loss and the last thing he remembers is his girlfriend killed. He sets out on a killing spree on those who killed his girlfriend. This was the biggest blockbuster of his career and it was later remade 3 years with Aamir Khan playing the lead role.

3. 7 Aum Arivu: One of the best films in his career which involved a lot of special effects and out-of-the-world moments in every frame of the film. The film brought the best of both worlds ranging from the royalty and grandeur of India to the discipline and persistence of Chinese Culture. The film was later submitted for the Indian section in Oscars. The special effects was given by a company based in the United States.

4. Thuppakki: Another blockbuster of the director which featured Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. The film revolved around an army officer who is on a break in Mumbai and his vacation becomes a race against time when there are multiple terrorist attacks bringing the city into chaos. The film was later remade by the director in Hindi as Holiday with Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The film was well appreciated for its fast-paced background scores, comical relief moments and foot tapping music which most of us have been grooving for days. The film happens to be the first one to have the story set in a big city like Mumbai.

5. Kaththi: One film which was a blockbuster as well as the second collaboration with Vijay which revolved around a petty criminal who happens to be the lookalike of a social worker who is fighting a manipulative tycoon who cheats a bunch of villagers, the lookalike comes in place of him and decides to fight for the rights of the villagers after they mistook him for the original and fortunately leads a battle against the crooked tycoon. This one was much memorable by the fans.
