Review By Ahmed Asjad:
Drugs are smuggled from Colombia to Pondicherry by sea. The villain Naren (Karthikeya) robs the youth from them on the way to Chennai. Karthikeyan's gangs are doing everything from mere drugs to chain robbery and murder.
At the same time, Arjun (Ajith Kumar) is being transferred from Madurai to Chennai. The whole story of the film is whether Arjun (Ajith Kumar) catches the culprits and punishes them or not.
The whistle blows the stage for a scene in which Ajith Kumar becomes the acting assistant commissioner. Ajith Kumar, who is a bit new in the film, is adamant that he should be advised when he speaks an extra punch line.
Ajith Kumar splashes in action scenes like never before and the fans celebrate and settle it.
(Sophia) Huma Qureshi, who accompanies Arjun in the film, is definitely not the heroine. He is a key officer in the Drug Enforcement Division.
Ajith Kumar has a little bit of family sentiment that he can only satisfy the fans if there are only action scenes.
Naren (Karthikeya) villain Arjun (Ajith Kumar) villain in the film is as important to Naren (Karthikeya) as any other scene. They only give us the introduction of his face after he shows his intimidating six-pack. Ajith has acted to compensate for the performance. It is a little sad that there are no such intimidating villains in Tamil cinema.
There are as many sentimental scenes as there are action scenes for any film. Ajith's mother, brother, and brother are all there. Yong's brother has finished his studies and is out of work. Thus everyone insults him. From that moment we know that he will definitely join the villain crowd.
The biggest weakness of the film is the scenes that get used to watching so many scenes in the film and the scenes that can easily guess the next scenes. The biggest weakness of the film is the family feeling scenes that come in the film as the speed bump comes to the car going at top speed.
The question of who composed the background music for the film remains unanswered. The music at the end of the film is called Yuvan and thanks to Gibran.
Cinematographer Neerav Shah's cinematography is the next strength of the film. And the way he filmed those bike fights were awesome. We have never seen such a fight scene in Tamil cinema.
The first half of the film goes without a hitch. It makes us curious about what is going to happen next. It would fool us to expect the same interest to be present in the second half of the intimidation. It is similar to regular Tamil films.
Rating - 3/5
Overall first half Valimai, Second half pushed.
