Thala Ajith sets a new record in Tamil Cinema.

Actor Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai has turned out to be a blockbuster, which has earned about Rs 70 crore (approx) from Tamil Nadu theatres alone. With the humongous success, Ajith has made a huge record at Tamil Nadu box office.

His previous outing Viswasam, which released on Pongal 2019, earned Rs 140 crore from Tamil Nadu box office. The cumulative Tamil Nadu box office collections of the two films make Ajith the first actor to earn more than Rs 200 crore in a single year (this doesn't include the money earned from other states and countries).

Directed by H Vintoh, the film is debut Tamil production venture of Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor. The film stars Shraddha Srinath, Vidya Balan, and Abhirami in lead roles.

Ajith is again teaming up with H Vinoth for a commercial entertainer, which will be released in 2020. H Vinoth has said that he has a few ideas but have not finalized anything till now.
