Politician Sushma Swaraj breathed her last on August 6 late night at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi due to massive cardiac arrest.
Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj passed away on August 6 after suffering from a massive cardiac arrest. She was 67 years old. Her untimely demise has left the entire nation shocked and saddened.
Several celebrities from the South took to Twitter to condole her demise. Calling her one of the strongest and graceful women, actress Gautami wrote, "A true patriot, a great human being & one of the strongest, most graceful women i have had the honor to know. Sushma ji has exemplified Duty in service of Nation & stands as an Icon fr generations to come. Her loss is devastating to us as a Nation."

The veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was one of the much-loved politicians across the nation, because of her prompt replies to people who reached out to her on social media. She served as a served as the Minister of External Affairs from May 26, 2014, to May 30, 2019.
Sushma Swaraj did not contest in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha Elections 2019 due to health reasons.
Her mortal remains were taken to her home at Dhawandeep building. At noon, the body will be taken to BJP's headquarters and the cremation will take place at Lodhi Road Electric Crematorium.
