Politician Sushma Swaraj breathed her last on August 6 late night at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi due to massive cardiac arrest.

Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj passed away on August 6 after suffering from a massive cardiac arrest. She was 67 years old. Her untimely demise has left the entire nation shocked and saddened.

Several celebrities from the South took to Twitter to condole her demise. Calling her one of the strongest and graceful women, actress Gautami wrote, "A true patriot, a great human being & one of the strongest, most graceful women i have had the honor to know. Sushma ji has exemplified Duty in service of Nation & stands as an Icon fr generations to come. Her loss is devastating to us as a Nation."

South Indian actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar stated that Sushma Swaraj was an 'inspiration to many' and wrote, "Sometimes people are taken away too early..!! A woman to look up too..An inspiration to many who aspire to be in her position..a great politician.. may your soul rest in peace..gone too soon..!! #SushmaSwaraj.

Rakul Preet Singh took to Twitter and wrote, "India has lost a great leader !! She was loved and respected! RIP ma'am #SushmaSwarajji"

Sushma Swaraj did not contest in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha Elections 2019 due to health reasons. 

Her mortal remains were taken to her home at Dhawandeep building. At noon, the body will be taken to BJP's headquarters and the cremation will take place at Lodhi Road Electric Crematorium.
