Suriya44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj and starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde, is a love story with action elements, set to release in summer 2025.
Kollywood star Suriya is busy promoting his PAN-Indian action drama Kanguva. Following this, he will star in a film directed by acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, tentatively titled Suriya44, which was completed in just five months. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead. While initial glimpses hinted at a gangster action drama, Subbaraj revealed it’s actually a love story with plenty of action, not a gangster film as speculated. Suriya's 2D Entertainment is producing the film, with music by Santhosh Narayanan. Suriya44 is set to release in summer 2025.
