SPB to sing intro song for Rajini’s 'Darbar'.

SP Balasubramaniam has given numerous introduction song for the superstar.
After the film Petta, there was a huge outcry from Rajini fans and Tamil cinegoers to bring Rajini-SPB duo back after the singer sang for Rajini in Marana Mass song in the film Petta.
The latest news will bring joy and sheer of excitement to the fans that superstar’s lucky mascot singer SP Balasubramaniam will be rendering the intro song in the film.

The shooting of Superstar Rajinikanth’s next directed by AR Murugadoss is progressing titled Darbar, the shooting of the film commenced last month and is currently happening in Mumbai. The first schedule was recently wrapped and the second schedule of the film will commence from May 29.
The film has music by Anirudh Ravichandran and this will be his second successive film with Rajinikanth after Petta.
Interestingly, it is a belief that all films that featured a Rajini-SPB combo intro song will turn out to be blockbuster hits.
The massive blockbusters like Annamalai, Baasha, and Sivaji - The Boss had introductions songs which helped the superstar to gear up his popularity meter.
The film is touted to be a cop drama, Rajinikanth plays an IPS officer in the film and one where fans will get to see him in a cop avatar after a long time, after films like Moondru Mugam and Pandiyan.
The film will have Rajinikanth playing dual roles. Nayanthara plays the female lead in this film with Prakash Raj, Nivetha Thomas, Prateik Babbar, Dalip Tahil, Yogi Babu, Soori, Harish Uthaman, Manobala, Suman, Anandaraj, Rao Ramesh and Bose Venkat in supporting roles.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the cinematography and editing are being handled by Santhosh Sivan and Sreekar Prasad, respectively. The film is scheduled for release on January 9, 2020, coinciding with Pongal.
