Vishnu Vishal had a glorious year at the box office ranging from the roaring success of Ratsasan where he showed his impeccable performance as a police officer. The latest film Silukkuvarupatti Singam shows the comical side of an actor in it.
The movie revolves Sathyamoorthy aka Sakthi (Vishnu Vishal), a low-ranking constable in Silikkuvarupatti, Tamil Nadu who prefers to mind his own business and do his work diligently. One fine day, a dreaded gangster Shankar makes an entry to the village on a mission to murder the minister but unfortunately, Sakthi arrests him without knowing that he is a wanted criminal the police is looking for. But Shankar manages to slip away and with only one agenda to finish Sakthi.
The title has been properly used to grab attention from multiple users and this is quite a good promotional tactic used by the makers. The comical elements in the movie have been made sure that the film doesn't turn out to be double meaning or vulgar at any portion.
The director Chella Ayyavu has taken a very good story for his film and there are some portions which are treated like situational comedy ranging from Sakthi getting stumped by seniors because of his overconfidence and Shankar's henchmen consisting of Tony (Yogi Babu), Share Auto Chandran (Anandraj) and the guy (Lollu Sabha Manohar).
The actresses Regina Cassandra and Oviya have been used only for glam quotient but they have done justice to their role.
There is only one song in the movie and that is Dio Rio Diya which brings the energy level sky high with its music and beats. This one shouldn't be missed this time in the box office.
The second half is quite draggy and slow which reduces the pace of the film but that can be compensated with some funny moments and interesting catchphrases.
Apart from all this, the film promises you to keep you laughing till the movie ends and this is something which should be not missed.
