Seemaraja Movie Review: A Failed Attempt In Making A Mass Entertainer
Published On: 14 September 2018 | Kollywood | By: Rohan M
Seemaraja is a masala entertainer directed by Ponram and the film stars Sivakarthikeyan and Samantha in the lead roles. The film hits the theatres today.
Usually in Kollywood, a particular hero makes a grander entry with a lot of drama and this has been going on for years with actors like Rajinikanth, Vijay and Ajith. The fans either build fan temples in their names or cheer and whistle during their appearance in the theatres. Ponram has used these elements in his latest venture for his lead actor Sivakarthikeyan with Seemaraja.

The plot of the film revolves around a young heir of a royal family named Seemaraja (Sivakarthikeyan) who has been playing the same kind of character even now after his previous films and this one is no breaking news for most of the filmy buffs. His life involves mostly bodybuilding and wooing Selvi (Samantha) which is like a stalker alert to most of the audience. All this comes to an end when a greedy man decides to take over their village by illegal means. Seemaraja decides to take the matter to himself and decides to fight against him.
The film turns out to be a poor man's Sivaji which is more like a spoof of Sivaji which the director thinks he is doing and converting a star into a mass hero seems like a failed formula for most of the filmmakers even now.
My best advice is to watch this film at your own risk and don't waste your time on this one.
