Sarkar Movie Review: Vijay's fans are going to rejoice when this film hit the theatres officially today and surprisingly it has raised the expectations of the fans as well. Check out our review right below...

Thalapathy Vijay is undoubtedly the money-maker when it comes to releasing his films on Diwali. The actor has a track record of giving out multiple blockbusters like Thuppakki, Kaththi and last year's Mersal which managed to collect a lot on Diwali. Sarkar has hit the theatres and we are more than excited to witness this magic in theatres.

The plot revolves around Sundar Ramaswamy (Vijay), a business tycoon based in the United States who is intelligent as well as cunning who not only buys multiple ventures in hostile takeovers but also destroy the owners at the same time. With the Rahman's background score laced in the film, we suddenly feel a little intense feel during this scene.

Sundar, one day decides to leave for India for another set of companies to acquire like a buffet which brings a chill down the spine for most of the owners of these companies who are aware of his modus operandi. As soon as he arrives in India during the election season, he is in for a shock when he realizes that "he" has cast the vote. That brings a change in Sundar's attitude and decides to fight for what was rightfully his.

Vijay plays his character in top form during the film and he has never failed his fans in every dialogue during the film. Get ready to hear some cheers and whistles if you are planning to watch it in theatres.

If you are thinking that there are some deadly antagonists in the film, well you will be disappointed to hear that they seem quite put-on and not-so-effective types. Even though Radharavi, Pazha Karuppaiah and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar have played villainous roles in their career, with the exception of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the second half, others are big letdowns.

The chemistry between Sundar and Nila (Keerthy Suresh) we might feel it crackling but it lacks a lot of fizz in it. They seem to be quite put-on in the important scenes.

We were expecting something new from AR Rahman's composition this time but this time he has disappointed us with his soundtrack with the exception of Poraalli which is blended in the narrative.

The direction from AR Murugadoss seems to be quite weak this time and he goes a little overboard while showing the preachy scenes in the film. Despite all the flaws, this one will be a sure shot entertainer in the box office.

Overall, this film is just one perfect flick to watch along with the family to enjoy this festive week in theatres. If you are a Thalapathy fan then don't waste time, enjoy this delicious fare.
