Renowned Film Editor Nishadh Yusuf Found Dead at 43; Film Industry Mourns His Loss

Renowned film editor Nishadh Yusuf, aged 43, was found dead in his Panampilly Nagar apartment in Kochi on October 30. His untimely passing has left the Malayalam and Tamil film industries in shock.
Police are investigating, but the cause of death remains unknown. Yusuf was a well-respected figure in cinema, known for shaping modern Malayalam cinema with his editing work.
The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) Directors' Union expressed condolences on social media, calling Yusuf's death a profound loss for the film community.

Originally from Harippad, he had worked on several successful films, including Thallumaala, Unda, One, Saudi Vellakka, and Adios Amigos. His upcoming projects include the highly anticipated Kanguva with Suriya, set to release on November 14, as well as Mammootty’s Bazooka and another film featuring Suriya and RJ Balaji.
In 2022, he won the Kerala State Award for Best Editor for Thallumaala, solidifying his reputation as a talented craftsman. Yusuf is survived by his wife and two children, and his loss is deeply felt among family, friends, and colleagues in the film industry.
