Rajinikanth's official health update: "Undergoes non surgical treatment; to return home in two days"

Superstar Rajinikanth (age 74) was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Greams Road, Chennai on September 30, 2024, due to a sudden health concern.
According to an official statement from the hospital, he had swelling in the main blood vessel (aorta) leaving his heart, which was treated using a non-surgical, transcatheter method. A stent was successfully placed by Senior Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish to seal off the swelling through an Endovascular Repair. The procedure went smoothly, and Rajinikanth is stable. He is expected to return home in a couple of days.
On the work front, Rajinikanth was filming for his upcoming project Coolie with director Lokesh Kanagaraj before this medical episode. Recently, he also met veteran filmmakers SP Muthuraman and AVM Saravanan, with their meeting photos circulating widely on social media.
